If there is another program in memory that the iO software conflicts with, or if the iO software didn't install properly, you may experience problems using it. Removing the iO software and reinstalling it using a clean boot may resolve the symptoms you are experiencing. The following instructions will walk you through this process.
- Remove the iO software.
- Open the Windows Control Panel.
- Open the Add / Remove Programs window.
- Locate the listing for iO and remove it.
- Prepare the system for iO software installation.
- Please see Downloads page and select the iO Pen to download the latest version of the iO software.
- Clean boot your system. Please see Knowledge Base article contactfor the "Clean Boot Procedures" for Windows XP, Windows Me, and Windows 98. Please see Knowledge Base article contact for the "Clean Boot Procedures" for Windows 2000.
- Double-Click the icon for the iO software download file.
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the installation.
- Return Windows to its normal state.
- Use the instructions located in the “Clean Boot Procedures” to enter MS Configuration window.
- Place checkmarks in the items that you previously removed them from.
- Click OK and allow the computer to reboot.
