To use AOL Instant Messenger with your Logitech webcam, please do the following:
NOTE: Logitech supports only AIM 6.x or above.
Verify the Logitech webcam is functional:

Launch the following:
- QuickCam software (Start > Programs > Logitech > Logitech QuickCam)
- Logitech Webcam Software or LWS (Start > Programs > Logitech > Logitech Webcam Software > Logitech Webcam Software)

Verify that you can see yourself in the webcam software window as shown below:

Close the webcam software window.
Configuring AIM:
NOTE: The following screenshots use the QuickCam Pro 9000 as an example. Aside from specifying the Logitech webcam, the screens are otherwise as shown below.

Launch AIM™ (Start > Programs > AIM > AIM)

Select Settings in the Edit Menu as shown below:

The Settings Windows will open. Click the "Enhanced IM" option on the left side of the window as shown below:

Select your Logitech webcam microphone from the Microphone dropdown as shown below:

Select the headphones or speakers you want to use from the Speakers dropdown as shown below:

Select your Logitech webcam from the Camera dropdown as shown below:

Click Save:

Open a chat window with a friend:

Click the Video button at the bottom of your chat window, as shown below:

NOTE: You and your friend must both have cameras, must both be using AIM and you will need to accept each other’s video feed in order to video chat.
