The WiLife Indoor Camera is suitable for indoor use only. It is not weatherproof. In fact, the WiLife Camera will not be covered under warranty if it fails because of exposure to the elements.
If you want to monitor an outside area, you can easily mount the WiLife Indoor Camera on the inside of a window and angle the lens so that it can view the desired area. This allows you to clearly see outside and yet protect your camera from the elements, theft and vandalism. Please refer to the User manual (Click F1 in the WiLife application) and the QuickStart Guide in the WiLife Starter and Easy Add-on kits for information on proper usage, mounting, and warranty.
We offer the WiLife Outdoor camera for installation in areas where weatherproofing is needed. WiLife cameras are compatible and can be installed in any combination desired up to a total of six cameras per installation.
